At a time when global trade is being reshaped by geopolitical developments, regional conflicts, and volatile economic conditions, K\u0131ta Logistics continues to strengthen its operational capabilities and sustainability infrastructure through comprehensive investments.<\/p>

As part of its previously announced Green Logistics and Digital Transformation investment totaling approximately 600 million TL, the company has launched a new investment in company-owned vehicles and equipment to address seasonal capacity and operational continuity issues in domestic container transport.<\/p>

In line with the increasing volume of maritime transport, K\u0131ta Logistics aims to integrate the processes of loading and transporting export containers to the port, as well as delivering import containers to their final destinations after port clearance, into a more cohesive structure. In this context, the system\u2014initially launched with 7 tractors and 10 trailers\u2014aims to enhance operational flexibility while providing customers with a more predictable service.<\/p>

With this new investment, the company is now able to manage critical processes\u2014such as T1 documentation and the use of guarantees in bonded transport, insured transport, integrated system tracking for international maritime transport, and vehicle tracking systems\u2014in a more controlled manner. The goal is to reduce supply chain uncertainties, particularly during peak periods, and ensure operational continuity.<\/p>

In the second phase of the investment, the fleet is planned to be expanded to include 20 tractor units and 25 container trailers. With this expansion, the aim is to manage transport operations along the port-to-company route on both sides of Istanbul in a more balanced and sustainable manner.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Emre Eldener, Vice Chairman of the Board at K\u0131ta Logistics, noted that this investment serves as a response to the current global economic climate, stating:

\u201cToday, the logistics sector is evolving into a more fragile and unpredictable structure amid wars, regional tensions, and economic fluctuations. In this environment, what our customers need most is continuity and trust. We view this investment as an infrastructure that will contribute to our business partners\u2019 ability to maintain uninterrupted operations. While strengthening our in-house capabilities, our goal is to establish a model that complements and supports our existing partnerships, creating a more balanced structure across the entire supply chain.\u201d<\/p>

Bilal Yurtta\u015f, General Manager of K\u0131ta Logistics Warehouses and Domestic Logistics, offered the following assessment regarding the investment\u2019s operational impact: \u201cSeasonal bottlenecks in domestic container transport can have significant effects on speed and planning in the field. With this investment, by making port, warehouse, and transportation processes more coordinated, we can manage the operational flow more effectively. In addition to its operational investments, K\u0131ta Logistics is continuing its digital-focused transformation in the area of sustainability. The company has taken a significant step in this area by migrating the measurement and reporting of its carbon footprint and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to a digital infrastructure.<\/p>

Through a partnership with Carbon Emit, a local technology firm based in \u0130zmir Technopark, carbon data can now be managed continuously, transparently, and in detail. With this transformation, the company aims to achieve a 50% reduction in time compared to manual processes, while also expecting a 30% improvement in data accuracy and an increase of over 50% in traceability.<\/p>

Through this framework, K\u0131ta Logistics positions carbon management not merely as a reporting process, but as an integral part of operational transparency, efficiency, and strategic decision-making. It also establishes a stronger foundation for compliance with regulations such as the European Green Deal and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

These complementary investments support the company\u2019s goal of offering customers a more integrated, balanced, and sustainable logistics experience.
